The deaths come as measles cases continue to rise across Pennsylvania. The state has confirmed 393 cases in 29 counties so far this year, the highest number of cases in Pennsylvania since 1992.
"In the Lehigh Valley, the blood supply is comparable to what we’re seeing nationally," said Cristina Maisel, communications manager for the American Red Cross of Greater Pennsylvania.
